The novelist has been trending lately following his untimely tragic departure. Kazuki Takahashi, the author of the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga series was reportedly discovered dead in snorkeling gear off the coast of Japan at the age of 60.

Sadly, those feelings of tragic loss are spreading throughout the global manga community again this morning, following the shocking news of Kazuki Takahashi’s death.
The Japan Coast Guard is said to have discovered a man drifting face down in the sea about 300 meters offshore of Awa, Nago City, Okinawa Prefecture on Thursday, July 6th, according to reliable sources.
The man was discovered floating in shallow waters while wearing snorkeling equipment, according to the Nago Coast Guard Station, and was later identified as Kazuki Takahashi, the Yu-Gi-Oh mangaka.
Interestingly the Tokyo-born was a happily married man with kids, however, for no obvious reason he kept them away from social media and as such aren’t known to the general public.
