Thomas DeLonge, an American musician, singer, songwriter, author, director, and actor, was born on December 13, 1975. He is a co-founder of the rock group Blink-182 and has served as the guitarist and co-lead vocalist over three separate runs: from 1992 to 2005, from 2009 to 2015, and starting in 2022. He has a distinctive nasal singing voice. Along with being the lead singer and guitarist for the rock group Angels & Airwaves, he left Blink-182 for the first time in 2005, leading him to form the group.

His mother worked as a mortgage broker and his father as an executive for an energy firm. Despite his early passion in music, becoming a musician was not his first career choice. His first musical instrument was a trumpet, which he received for Christmas when he was just 11 years old. DeLonge participated in the San Diego Cadet Program with the intention of becoming a fireman. At a church camp, he borrowed a friend’s guitar, which he soon got obsessed with.
