He quit Georgia State and enrolled with Mississippi State from 2017 to 2018. After graduating from college in 2019, he was selected by the Oakland Raiders in the first round during the NFL Draft that year.
Abram tore his rotator cuff and labrum in his NFL debut against the Denver Broncos in week one. On September 13, 2019, he was put on injured reserve and will sit out the rest of the year.
He returned a year later to inspire his team’s famous victory against the Carolina Panthers.
After having shoulder surgery, Abram was placed on injured reserve in 2021. Through 14 starts, he concluded the season with a career-high 116 tackles.
